Door Hardware Types:

Like the Keyed Entry Single Cylinder Deadbolts, they’re more secure than the Keyed Entry Knobs/Levers, but unlike them, they require a key on the inside portion of the exterior door. The included installation instructions also mention to leave a key on the inside cylinder as a safety precaution.

Two Door Pack Complete Front Door Handleset & Keyed Entry Security Set: Exclusive from Kwikset during the early 2000’s, the Front Entry Handleset from this pack is commonly seen on a exterior front door leading to the outside of your home while the Keyed Entry Security Set from this pack is commonly seen on another exterior door leading to that same outside of your home. They contain a Non-Locking Exterior Long Handle, a Non-Locking Interior Knob/Lever, a separate Keyed Entry Single Cylinder Deadbolt/Keyed Entry Double Cylinder Deadbolt, a Keyed Entry Knob/Lever and a Keyed Entry Single Cylinder Deadbolt/Keyed Entry Double Cylinder Deadbolt. These are rare to find in physical hardware stores.

Indicator Deadbolts: These are commonly seen on interior doors leading to the bathroom of your business. They can be paired with either privacy knobs/levers or passage knobs/levers, but they are sold separately.
Passage Knobs/Levers: Sometimes called Interior Non-Locking Knobs/Levers, these are commonly seen on interior doors leading to the hallway or closet (or sometimes bedroom or) of your home or business. If you’re using any passage knobs/levers on exterior doors leading to the outside of your home or business, you must have the side with the exposed screws on the knob/lever on the inside portion of the door and have a deadbolt to pair with it. If you’re using any passage knobs/levers on interior doors leading to the bathroom of your home or business, you must have a indicator deadbolt to pair with it.
Storeroom Knobs/Levers: These are commonly seen on exterior doors or interior doors leading to the storage space of your home or business. The inside knob/lever remains unlocked while the outside knob/lever is always locked and requires a key to unlock it.
Classroom Knobs/Levers: These are commonly seen on exterior doors or interior doors leading to a room of your home or business. The inside knob/lever remains unlocked while the outside knob/lever can be locked or unlocked with it’s key, rotating said key clockwise or counterclockwise in a 360 degree motion in it’s cylinder.
